Rita Suzanne is the Executive Director of the Independent National Board for Grief Coaching, the board that certifies grief coaches and holds them to a published standard for scope, ethics, and continuing education.

She takes it seriously because grief is not a niche. It shows up in divorce, job loss, illness, estrangement, and every large life change nobody thinks to call grief. The coaches who do this work deserve a real standard behind them, and the people who turn to them deserve to know what that standard is.

The credential is for anyone whose work meets people in grief in a non-clinical frame. Coaches, chaplains, hospice and healthcare professionals, funeral directors, career changers, and licensed clinicians who also coach.
