Marilyn Sakai is an accomplished professional with 20+ years’ experience in the non-profit sector providing financial, human resources, operational, government grant, and strategic consulting services throughout California. In 2000, she founded Lee & Sakai, LLC and was recognized for her work in the small business and non-profit community by the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as the 2015 Young Professional of the Year and in 2021 by the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business of the Year.
In 2024, Marilyn was named a C-Suite Honoree by the Sacramento Business Journal for her role as CFO of Opening Doors, Inc. Marilyn is an active volunteer in the community, holding board positions with the California Mexican American Veterans Memorial Foundation, SV6 Sports, and The Hope Collaboration. She is a wife and mother of four and enjoys traveling and hiking in her free time.
