Lisa Chandler is a Board Certified Coach, leadership development professional, and business owner with more than 15 years of experience helping individuals and organizations navigate complexity, strengthen leadership capability, and achieve sustainable results. She is the founder of Beyond the Trees, LLC, where she partners with leaders, professionals, and organizations navigate complexity to find clarity through coaching, assessments, and customized development solutions.
Lisa brings a rare blend of counseling, performance improvement, and executive leadership experience to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Workplace Performance Improvement and is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education. She is also certified in GENOS Emotional Intelligence, Profile XT, and CheckPoint 360° assessments. Her approach integrates emotional intelligence, perspective-shifting, and practical action to support confident decision-making and resilient leadership.
In addition to owning her business, Lisa previously served in senior leadership roles on a $422M Department of Defense contract, where she led large, distributed teams; managed training, quality, and improvement initiatives; coached leaders at multiple levels; and supported enterprise-wide change and performance improvement efforts. Her experience spans industries including government, healthcare, financial services, construction, engineering, higher education, and nonprofit organizations.
Lisa is known as a trusted thought partner who helps leaders cut through noise, align action with what matters most, and lead with clarity and intention. She is passionate about supporting women business owners and leaders as they grow their confidence, influence, and impact—both professionally and personally.
