As a visionary leader, problem solver, organizer, and motivational speaker, Deondra Wardelle paves strategic and practical paths for C-suite executives and organizational leaders to create thriving, inclusive cultures in their workplace and communities. She also founded the global #RootCauseRacism® movement to eradicate racism using continuous improvement and diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) methodologies grounded in foundational racial equity training.
Deondra started her journey with continuous improvement (CI), global HR leadership, operations and executive coaching more than 20 years ago. She has extensive experience using CI to positively impact employee development and the customer experience. She also is known for leading organizations through strategic planning to enhance culture and create environments that ignite change.
Former roles include Chief Strategy Officer at the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and Director of Performance Excellence at WestRock Company, a global leader in the paper/packaging industry. While working in the Performance Excellence space, Deondra and her team of Lean Six Sigma Black Belts led CI projects for more than 70 facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Deondra now works with leaders who invest in social and environmental justice and are ready to take their work to the next level. Using her proven Strategic Visioning Experience™ and 4D Improvement Cycle™, Deondra helps organizations turn strategic plans into executable and measurable action, resulting in increased employee engagement and empowerment. Her process helps executives connect strategic planning, visioning, and DEIA as a business strategy, aligning department/team goals and using CI to execute plans.
Deondra is a Lean Six Sigma professional, skilled extensively in the practice of the Toyota Kata, and deeply involved in the international sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. She serves as a Regional Director on the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) Great Lakes Board. She’s also an Advisory Board Member of Now Courier, Inc., a specialized medical courier service, as well as a Board Member for Peace Learning Center.
