About

As the Founder and CEO of E.B. Howard Consulting, a New York State and SBA-certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), I have led our work since 2013. We partner with innovators to secure and strategically deploy non-dilutive funding, reducing risk while accelerating growth and measurable impact.

Over the past decade, my team and I have developed hundreds of grant proposals, conducted extensive funding research, and delivered rigorous program and project evaluations. Collectively, our clients have secured more than $450 million in non-dilutive funding from federal, state, and private sources. We are known for an integrated, lifecycle approach that supports clients from opportunity identification and proposal development through evaluation and impact reporting.

I work closely with high-growth startups, small businesses, universities, and economic development organizations. While industry agnostic, our work is concentrated in emerging technologies, postsecondary education and STEM initiatives, innovation and commercialization through SBIR and STTR programs, and regional economic development efforts such as NSF Engines and EDA Tech Hubs.

I’m deeply committed to strengthening the broader innovation ecosystem. I have served as a mentor and advisor to nationally recognized programs, including the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps™, University at Buffalo’s Blackstone LaunchPad, Columbia Technology Ventures, Verizon Forward for Good Accelerator, and NYSERDA’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program. I’ve also served on several nonprofit and economic development boards, helping guide strategic growth and inclusive impact.

My leadership and service have been recognized with honors, including induction into the Haverling Hall of Distinction, the Parsons Community Service Award, and being named a NAWBO Woman Business Owner of the Year multiple times, most recently in 2025.
