Sharon Newman

Sharon C. Nolberto Newman, Garifuna, Belizean from Belize Central America, raised in sunny California; Co-Founder, current president, past president, and fundraising chair of Rotary Club of the Southland, Rotary International - District 6450. Sharon is a married mother of 2. 

An entrepreneur, Sharon and her husband are owners of a Homecare Company based in the South Suburbs of Chicago specializing in dementia care. She loves helping others and became a Rotarian 9 years ago because of her love for giving back.  

Sharon is also a former elected official who earned her title of Master School Board Member through the Illinois Association of School Boards, while serving on the local school board. She served as Secretary of the Board Education, Director At Large, Delegate for South Cook Board, Past -President of Business Network International (BNI)— Local chapter People Helping People Chapter, Chapter Success Coach, her role as Senior Launch Coach of the Illinois Region helped recruited over 80 people find a BNI home. Sharon love for art drew her to serve as a board member of the Tall Grass Art Gallery, where she served the community for many years.  

Sharon is a self-proclaimed health enthusiast who enjoys working out lifting weights 5-6 days a week. She loves reading, traveling, and spending time with family. In her spare time, she coaches entrepreneurs and small business owners on how to start and grow their businesses.
