A self-labeled Geek, Miss Shannan Paul brings roaring laughter to even the most curmudgeonly of crowds. Twin Cities newspaper, the City Pages says, “No matter where you’ve seen (or heard) her, you know just how great Miss Shannan is. With comedy that’s personal and relatable, she has the ability to make you feel like you’ve been friends for years, even if you’re only seeing her for the very first time.”

Campus Activities Magazine® included Miss Shannan as one of eight Top Speaker Picks for 2015. Her storytelling and irresistible smile are sure to crack up even the most stone-faced curmudgeon. She can relate to just about everyone whether they be Business Professionals, Students, Sci-Fi fans, Sports Aficionados, or Urban and Suburban Moms.

Along with her live performances, Miss Shannan recently hosted and executive produced the streaming comedy and variety show, “Miss Shannan’s Comedy Through The Chaos.” The six-episode season, available on Facebook and YouTube, features Stand-Up Comedy, Storytelling and Sketch about the often-difficult real world challenges we face. It also includes performer and subject matter interviews to give us all a chance to “laugh through the hard times.”

Miss Shannan is a professional stand-up comedian who has performed for a wide range of audiences. She has hosted numerous corporate and charity events and is an active board member for the Pacer Center, an organization that expands opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities, and the Autism Society of Minnesota.  Her diversity and inclusion expertise is displayed through her current role as Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Commission for the City of Crystal Minnesota, and through her work as the Diversity and Community Relations Director for the Twin Cities Film Fest.

Before moving to Minnesota- the “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” Miss Shannan Paul was born and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She started her professional career working as a marketing and communications professional for Fortune 100 companies including Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America. Since her cubicle days, Miss Shannan has moved on to become a Radio and Television show host, Comedian, Speaker, Actress, Certified Benefit Auctioneer and a proud former player of the Women’s Professional Football League.

Miss Shannan’s discussions on “Cultural Sensitivity for the Accidentally Insensitive,” “Comedy Through The Chaos: Lessons Learned Through Laughter” and “Working Through It Together: Sensitivity in Your Workplace World” use personal anecdotes and real world examples to teach the audience how to not “be that person” who walks blindly into awkward situations. Her diverse professional background has given her an incredibly broad communication set and allowed her to work with people and groups covering a spectrum of ethnicities, age ranges and education levels. Miss Shannan can keep you smiling and keep people of other cultures smiling along with you.
