Ruth Pearce: Championing Mental Well-being in the Workplace
Ruth Pearce is on a mission to help organizations put mental well-being at the core of their culture. Drawing from her own journey through anxiety and burnout, she knows firsthand the power of a supportive work environment. With degrees from the London School of Economics and Concord Law School and over 25 years of leadership experience in financial services, state government, and nonprofits, Ruth combines a strong academic background with real-world expertise.
As an Enterprise Coach, she empowers leaders, co-founders, and teams to build resilient, innovative, and mentally healthy workplaces. Ruth’s talks and workshops give audiences actionable strategies for creating environments where employees and organizations thrive together, enhancing productivity and well-being for all.
An adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School, Ruth is dedicated to mentoring future leaders. She also draws energy from nature, music, and books—knowing they are essential to her own mental health and can be powerful tools for self-care.

Education & Background
Ruth Pearce brings a wealth of experience from senior leadership roles at NYS Workers’ Compensation Board, UBS, Société Générale, and VIA Institute on Character, where she helped lead projects, develop products, and deliver global webinars. Her work with VIA during COVID-19—co-hosting “United in Strengths” sessions for over 80 weeks—provided a lifeline to many, and she remains a primary VIA contact for team-based character strengths assessments.
Ruth holds an MSc in Economic Theory from the London School of Economics and a JD from Purdue Global Law School, where she graduated as valedictorian and passed the California bar on her first attempt. A program management expert with PMP accreditation since 2007, Ruth is also highly credentialed in positive psychology, trained by renowned experts, and holds multiple coaching qualifications from respected institutions. A PCC-accredited coach with the ICF and Senior Practitioner with EMCC, she’s recognized globally for her impact, including the 2024 Finance Monthly Global Award for Coaching and a WomLEAD Top 5 Women Coach Award.
As a community leader, Ruth serves as President of Women in Networking (WIN) in Durham, North Carolina, an Ambassador for the Durham Chamber of Commerce, and for Stride Forward Coaching. She’s an active member of NSA Carolinas, a Court Mediator, and a mentor for new coaches, training over 60 certified coaches as a former trainer for the Center for Coaching Certification.
Based in Durham, North Carolina, Ruth shares her life with her husband, two dogs, two rabbits, and a thriving beehive.
