About
Your Marketing Muse Rita planted her roots in Central Florida almost twenty years ago. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Art History from the University of Central Florida in 2012, and after graduation realized she missed writing and having a creative outlet. When the Universe stepped in with a job offer from a marketing company owned by former classmates, she accepted, and her career began with Treefrog Cinegraphix as a project manager.
From there, she became an account manager for Synergy Marketing based in Cleveland, OH. She also freelanced as a writer and social media manager on the side. Among some of her clients was Orlando, The City's Magazine. For them, Rita managed their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, wrote the Weekend Happenings blog, On the Town monthly column, and wrote several articles in the print edition. Later, in 2022, she freelanced again for the magazine as a fact checker and proofreader for their print articles.
In 2018, Rita left marketing briefly to obtain her 200-hour yoga teacher certification. She worked for a year hosting Yoga and Writing workshops locally in Orlando. In 2020, she took a maternity leave break, and the rest of the world joined her not long after as lockdowns went into effect. She adjusted to her "new normal" when the world began to open up as Marketing Director for the Florida School of Holistic Living. As much as she loved the work she did for this local nonprofit educational organization, she wanted to use her creative skills and content marketing background to help more people who are trying to spread goodness in the world. So, in March of 2023, she launched Marketing Muses as a source of inspiration for small businesses and entrepreneurs doing just that.
In her off hours, she's mom to two, a bonus mom to two more, happily married, practices tarot to deepen her knowledge of symbology, and enjoys learning ways to incorporate herbalism into her cooking. She and her family enjoy weekends at the theme parks, traveling to beach towns all over Florida, and making the occasional cross-country trek to California to visit West Coast relatives. Rita is also an award-winning poet published in several literary journals. Her sun sign is Gemini, moon in Scorpio, and a rising Cancer.
