About
Ms. McLaren holds a M.S. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Chemistry Magna Cum Laude from Ball State University. Ms. McLaren has completed coursework in Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment at Harvard University and obtained Certificates in Sustainable Capitalism & ESG and ESG: Navigating the Board’s Role from UC Berkeley Law Executive Education. She completed the GreenBiz program Leading the Sustainability Transformation with the January 2021 cohort, presented by Wholeworks. Pamela is a qualified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, an Exemplar Global certified EMS Auditor, an Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) ENVISION Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Sustainability Professional, and a GBCI certified LEED® Green Associate. She also earned Sustainability Accounting Standard Board’s (SASB’s) Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Level 1 and 2 credentials. Pamela also underwent rigorous onboarding by CDP’s own scoring experts to align with CDP’s methodological expectations and completed a quality assurance routine to meet CDP’s performance expectations as a prerequisite for serving as a CDP Scoring Partner for CDP during the 2019 Round of Climate Change Disclosures.
Ms. McLaren serves as President for Groundwork Indy’s Board of Directors, was co-chair of the Indy East Promise Zone’s Work IndyEast Industrial Redevelopment subcommittee and participated in Employ Indy’s Project Indy Workforce Development Task Force. She served as an associate faculty member for Indiana University’s O’Neil School of Public and Environmental Affairs at the Indiana University Purdue University (IUPUI) Indianapolis campus, teaching Urban Sustainability SPEA-V419/527 and Environmental Justice SPEA-V310/550 from 2017 – 2020.
