Omelia C. Thornton is an C-suite Executive that holds a (M.S.A.) Masters of Science in Accounting; and a (M.A.C) Masters of Accountancy and a Bachelors in Accounting. She's certified as a Female Business Enterprise, Minority Business Enterprise, Local Producer Enterprise with the City of Cleveland. Other certifications are Female Business Enterprise and Minority Business Enterprise with CMHA. She is a EDGE Partner with the State of Ohio as a Professional Accounting Service Provider. And with Cuyahoga County she holds a Small Business Enterprise Certification.

Ms. Thornton is past owner in Cleveland, Ohio of a nationally known franchise Colbert Ball Tax Service. Currently, she's President & CEO of the corporation's First Invest, Inc. an Accounting & Tax Service Firm located in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio and Zippy Taxes, Inc an accounting firm located in Rocky River, OH which is the 1st in the World to offer One-Payment Lifetime Tax Preparation. 

Over the past 7 years she has trained over 7,500 individuals which included: CEO's; VP's; Directors; college students; interns and business owners to proficiently prepare individual income tax returns. She also supervised and assisted within that period 300 individuals of volunteers and staff which included; Executives and Directors; CEO's; VP's to adequately create, prepare and file individual income taxes.

Her partnership outcomes have proven demonstration when she partnered with local multi-million dollar (CDC's)Community Development Corporation to create and implement a community plan which:
1)Increased the number of program participants by 300% breaking the record of committed goals
2)Increased and created community partnership with financial institutions
3)Increase awareness surrounding structural duplicated processes that enable scaling which resulted in increased funding opportunities

Those outcomes lead to another partnership to create a 3 to 5 year Strategic Plan with another multi-billion dollar Community Housing organization that centered around program expansion; community awareness; sustainable outreach methodology and engagement retention from other thought leaders who wanted to support the same initiatives.
