Natasha Parker was raised on the West Side of Chicago garnering her 20 year film career in her hometown. She has a B.A. from the University of Illinois in Speech & Communications, minoring in African-American Studies. Natasha studied screenwriting at the Independent Screenwriters Group and is a ScreenwritingU Alumni. Balancing the dual hats as an independent filmmaker and studio craftsman, Natasha has worked in wardrobe, props and craft services. In 2012, Natasha joined the Directors Guild of America becoming the first African American female Location Manager in the Midwest. Her credits range from films such as, ‘Transformers 3’, ‘Empire’, ‘Man of Steel’, ‘Chiraq’, The Chi, ‘61st Street’, ‘Ironheart’ and the upcoming Warner Bros., John Wells Production show ‘Emperor of Ocean Park’.
As the creator and co-founder of Noisemakers Entertainment she has written, produced and directed her own films as well as colleagues. These films have aired on BET, BET+ and ABC including festival runs for Urban World, Martha’s Vineyard, ABFF, Black Harvest Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival, Sacramento International Film Festival, Denton Film Festival, HBO competitions, screened at the Library of Congress and nominated for an African Movie Academy Award in Nigeria. Natasha is a proud member of the Director’s Guild of America, IATSE and he Producer’s Guild of America.
In 2016, Natasha was the co-founder of Production Rentals Chicago servicing the film business as the only premier 24/7 one-stop shop event rental supply house. With a 30,000 sq ft. warehouse of products, PRC has grown by leaps and bounds in 8 years well on its way to becoming a million dollar company in 2024. Natasha serves as majority owner in the role of CFO with plans to supply training for filmmakers and entrepreneurship. Natasha is married with children and grandchildren. Her accomplishments in both the film and professional service industries represents her resilience and focus with expansion in both markets.
