As Founder and CEO of Walker-Miller Energy Services (Walker-Miller), Carla Walker-Miller leads this 23-year-old values driven business, and first Black owned company in Michigan to obtain a B Corporation Certification. The rapidly growing company helps reduce the economic energy burden, and drive access to family sustaining jobs and wealth generating business ownership in the clean energy and mobility sectors.

Walker-Miller is empowering historically excluded communities to become innovators in the clean energy economy. A fierce advocate for equity, particularly for Black people and people of color, she is a sought-after speaker on entrepreneurship, workforce development and catalyzing an inclusive clean energy.

In 2023, Carla was inducted into the Michigan Minority Business Hall of Fame by the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC), and awarded Implementation Contractor of the Year by the Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association (MEECA).

Additionally, she remains very dedicated to several community efforts, sharing her thought leadership while serving on the boards and committees of local and national organizations.
