Megan Annis

About

Megan Annis, Owner and Principal of Starflower Creative, has over 20 years of experience building marketing and communications programs from the ground up to deliver results. She has a MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of California, Davis, where she also received her Bachelor's degree in Managerial Economics with a minor in Spanish.

Megan began her career working for a boutique marketing firm where she managed marketing campaigns for a wide variety of clients ranging from schools and local farmers' markets to politicians and restaurants. She has also worked on the in-house side, leading strategic marketing and communications in healthcare, civil engineering/construction, PreK-12 education, and nonprofits. 

With a passion for working with small businesses and nonprofit organizations, Megan believes they are the heartbeat of our communities whose stories deserve to be told and work deserves to be elevated. And when you're running the day-to-day operations of your business, you don't always have the time to think about marketing. Whether you need a 50,000-foot level growth strategy, support launching a new product, or help creating compelling content, Megan rolls up her sleeves and makes things happen.

In her spare time, Megan loves spending time with her husband and two sons. You can find them biking, hiking, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoys photography and creating mixed media artwork. Megan also serves as the Communications Director on the Board of Directors for Friends of Folsom Parkways, a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to preserving open land, parks, and trails throughout the City of Folsom.
