About

Meet the visionary behind HOW Public Relations, Marla Howell. With roots deeply embedded in the media world, Marla's journey began by premiering in television commercials through her parent's television and broadcast company. Marla grew up being a part of the Tele-Evangelism movement in Miami, FL. Her passion for videography blossomed during middle and high school, where she worked weekends recording church services and TV commercials for the family business.

A Miami native, Marla pursued a major in Broadcast Communication at Barry University, reliving her early experiences as a Radio Disney Kidcaster. Her career soared as she delved into marketing at Miami's top radio group, Cox Media, before seizing an exciting opportunity as a news reporter for WTVM in Georgia's bustling city, Columbus.

Returning to her Florida roots, Marla became a reporter and anchor in Sarasota, concluding her television career at WWSB TV as Manatee County's first mobile newsroom reporter. Today, she has embraced her most cherished role as a devoted mom to two toddler girls and a supportive wife to Ernest, a Tampa Bay realtor. Marla's rich background and unwavering passion lay the foundation for How Public Relations's commitment to excellence.

Marla's career is extensive with expertise and industry experience is several areas within the media industry.

She was worked in radio, television, marketing and public relations throughout the span of her career. She has worked with familiar brands and led campaigns for the University of South Florida and the City of Tampa. In addition to her extensive career accomplishments, Marla is affiliated with the following organizations.
