About

From a young age, Traditional East Asian Medicine (T.E.A.M) played a pivotal role in overcoming significant health challenges, allowing me to pursue my aspirations as a young athlete. This early experience sparked a lifelong dedication to healing and a deep exploration of how best to serve and empower my community. Through this journey, I discovered that T.E.A.M is not just a set of practices but a profound way of life.

As an Eastern Medicine practitioner, I am honored to positively influence my community by integrating holistic health approaches that empower individuals to take charge of their well-being. My path into healthcare began after a career in theatre costume design, where I developed creativity and leadership skills that would later inspire me to combine art and science in the fields of Acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine.

The profound healing I personally experienced through T.E.A.M ignited my mission to guide others on similar transformative journeys. I earned a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University and a Doctorate from Pacific College of Health & Sciences, both with honors. With over a decade of practice, I have come to understand that T.E.A.M transcends acupuncture needles—it fosters connection, self-awareness, and a way of life that nurtures health on all levels. This realization led me to expand my impact beyond the clinic through the creation of Sjökort Health & Wellness, where I develop programs designed to enrich and uplift the community.

I am nationally certified in the USA ( NCCAOM) and hold license as an Acupuncturist and Doctor of Eastern Medicine. Additionally, I am an NLP/Wellness coach specializing in behavioral change. Each day, I am committed to delivering the highest standard of care to my patients and collaborating effectively with my peers.

My work is rooted in the belief that healing is a holistic process—one that involves not only the physical body but also the mind, emotions, and spirit. I advocate for a lifestyle that honors rhythm, rather than striving for balance, and encourage individuals to embrace their unique journey toward health. Understanding that no one can “do it all,” I support my clients in making the best choices for themselves and their communities.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am dedicated to continuous professional growth, focusing on the advanced mastery of Chinese Medicine. This includes integrating multiple diagnostic lenses from different lineages to create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. I am passionate about the safe application of health and wellness practices, research in Traditional East Asian Medicine, and the wellness world at large. I stay actively involved with the Society of Acupuncture Research, focusing on the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices.

Outside of my professional life, I find fulfillment in travel, meaningful connections with friends, exploring the Swedish language, and engaging in personal interests such as mastering the bongos, yoga, Qi Gong, and salsa dancing. As a devoted dog mom and home restoration enthusiast, I cherish the ongoing adventure of restoring our 1910s home.

Through Sjökort Health & Wellness, I invite you to embark on a transformative journey of holistic healing, where art, science, and compassion converge to create bespoke care. Together, Let’s explore the profound potential of Bespoke Whole Person Care together!🌟and nurture a healthier, more vibrant community.
