A former college professor of sociology, Katherine has a Ph.D. in Leadership from Gonzaga University. Her research focuses on women's leadership and how women develop identity, belonging, and resilience for themselves, their families, organizations, and communities. Katherine is the founder of Greenland Consulting, a firm whose mission is to develop resilient leaders for a world in transition. Her passion is to blend the tools of social entrepreneurship with executive leadership coaching to help clients transform their visionary ideas into profitable ventures that benefit their communities.
Katherine is a formally trained dancer, actor and musician including 18 years of experience as a vocalist, didjeridoo player, yoga/ meditation practitioner and drummer. She has lived and worked in Thailand, Guam, Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize and the United States. She is an AmeriCorps Award Recipient for her work with Seattle Public Schools.
Katherine activates organizations and empowers communities. She skillfully develops strategic network partnerships that match critical need with organizational missions to create synergistic outcomes across constituencies. Drawing on her international work experience, she coaches leaders to reach their goals for social justice, engaged citizenship and community resilience.
