Cara Truitt

About

Cara Truitt has two decades of experience as an entrepreneur, business owner, and community founder in Charlotte, NC. Her leadership experience combined with her ability to facilitate intuitive experiential learning gives her a unique edge. She is the Charlotte Chapter Host of Mic Drop Club (the first public speaking club for women) and the Founder & Executive Producer of TEDx Sugar Creek Women. Cara provides coaching to aspiring TEDx speakers and enjoys amplifying women's ideas. She was named one of the Top 50 Women to KNOW in NC in 2024.

Cara is masterful at connecting with diverse audiences whether leading a small group workshop, facilitating a corporate retreat, or giving a keynote speech on-stage to hundreds. This comes from her extensive background leading teams across creative, corporate, and wellness spaces. During the pandemic, Cara founded a global yoga collective, successfully pivoting from a long-standing brick-and-mortar studio to virtual and outdoor environments. She currently co-owns a logistics company in NC with her husband Riley. 

Cara has collaborated with many non-profit organizations throughout her career donating her services and planning fundraisers. Cara is passionate about fostering inclusive community and cultivating a culture of connection. When she is not speaking or producing events, you will find Cara at home or on the greenway with her two children, Teddy (7) and Autumn (4) who are her greatest teachers in connection.
