Abena Apau Buckley, is the Co-founder and CEO of Strategy Doula, where she helps purpose-driven organizations clarify their strategy, align their culture, and take actions that grow both impact and revenue. Abena partners with organizations to strategically plan their path forward, especially in the midst of complexity and change. As a Culture & Implementation Consultant and an Organizational Strategist, she blends professional expertise with lived experience to help clients move from overwhelm to clarity and from clarity to aligned action. Abena has worked in the fields of strategic and operational planning, process improvement, customer experience, and change management for 20 years. Having served as a consultant in the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and as an internal consultant for the federal government, Abena subsequently established Strategy Doula to support purpose-driven organizations and the people within them.

Abena’s mission is rooted in both her consulting background and her personal journey navigating a profound family crisis that reshaped her perspective on balance, purpose, and possibility. She understands firsthand the challenges of managing multiple roles and brings that insight to her work with authenticity, empathy, and strategic rigor. Drawing on Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles, Abena supports clients in identifying both the micro- and macro-level steps needed to move from their current state to their desired future state. Through facilitated conversations, visual mapping, and practical planning tools, she helps individuals and organizations create strategic plans, establish meaningful milestones, and build systems of accountability that foster long-term growth. Abena brings a unique blend of professional expertise, personal resilience, and a passion for improving the human experience.
