JULY SESSION: USING AI SAFELY IN YOUR BUSINESS

AI tools can help business owners save time, spark ideas, and streamline everyday work, but using AI well also requires good judgment about data, privacy, security, and human review.

In this interactive session, we will explore safe AI decision-making for small businesses. Attendees will learn a practical framework for thinking through what they give an AI tool, what the tool gives back, and where human review is still needed before AI output is used in the business.

Participants will discuss real small-business scenarios and consider:

• When AI should or should not be used for a business task
• What information is safe to include in an AI tool
• What should stay out or be generalized before prompting
• What AI-generated content needs human review before use
• What basic security practices should be in place before relying on AI

No tech background is required. This session is designed to be practical, approachable, and immediately useful for business owners who want to use AI with more confidence and better guardrails.

Non-member registration is limited to 15 participants per session and is available for $50 per session. Proceeds benefit the NAWBO Institute and help expand access to educational programming, resources, and opportunities that support women business owners at every stage of growth.
