Kelly Byrnes is the Founder of Voyage Consulting Group where she helps companies rely on purpose, principles, and people to fuel performance. VCG serves as the strategic and tactical advisor on leadership and culture for companies who want to grow influence and impact beyond dollars.

Kelly has a solid track record as a member of three senior leadership teams. She has led teams in operations, marketing, and human resources to launch divisions, boost management engagement capital, and improve retention of key employees and clients.

Her most recent corporate role was as the Chief Talent Officer/Director of Marketing and Communications  for a global scientific tech company. 

She has served as an employee, consultant, and/or executive coach in a variety of organizations and verticals, including: Honeywell, Bank of America, VMLY&R, CBIZ, Schlage, University of Kansas Health System, and many others.

A sought-after leadership and company culture expert, Kelly also serves as an adjunct MBA professor of Leadership for Rockhurst University, which named her Graduate Adjunct Faculty of the Year in 2019. A regional magazine named Kelly a Most Influential Woman of Kansas City and to the Kansas City Business Hall of Fame.

She also is a writer  for Forbes.com and four-time Amazon best-selling author. In 2023, she created the official workbook for Marshall Goldsmith’s bestselling book The Earned Life. In May of 2023, her newest publication, How to Create a Fulfilling Life and Reach your Full Potential, was released.

Kelly holds an MBA, BA, Harvard’s Certificate in Disruptive Strategy, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, and executive coaching certifications. She has served on several boards including Divvy HQ, Central Exchange, Best Buddies, the University of Kansas, and NAWBO KC. She is the 2023-2024 president of the Kansas City chapter of NAWBO.

On a personal note, Kelly and her husband Bob, an Air Force veteran and retired fire captain, live in Kansas City, Missouri. Their daughter’s family lives in Montana, where they visit every chance they get. Her volunteer work centers around their parish, education, women, children, and dogs.
